Hot Air Balloon Festivals
I remember a few years ago I was watching a television channel about popular places and events in America. One of the events that came up was a hot air balloon festival. Just like any other gathering for a hobbies, such as car shows, these festivals allow for people to interact with others of similar interests. I remember my television screen was filled with hot air balloons in the sky, each balloon unique in its shape, size, and color. It's interesting to think that these objects were once used for war and are now a hobby for many. In war, the hot air balloons provided an advantage to see are aerial view of the land and map out the war. Today, hot air balloons are used in a similar manner, obviously not for war. But they allow people to go up in the air and get a view of the land below for a new perspective.

I agree, it's weird how things change so much over time. Balloons being used for warfare seems silly now, but it was revolutionary at one point in time.
