Link 1: Google has taken a long process to engineer their impeccable Google Maps. Google employees calculate the fastest way to get from destination to destination. In order to provide users a street view of what they're searching for, Google hired employees to drive around streets with cameras installed on top of their cars. Google Maps has created a completely new generation and view of maps for the new technological era.

Link 2: This article focuses on the creation of Google Maps. It discusses the reason that Yahoo and MapQuest failed to surpass Google Maps- satellite imagery and public transport directions. The first iPhone paralleled its debut to Google Maps, furthering the outstanding launch of Google Maps. The article ends with giving a few examples of new and upcoming Map apps and how they connect and interact with the user differently and how new maps are being created every day.

Link 3: This article discusses the different uses that Google Maps' street view is capable of providing. The street view is able to provide users views of landmarks and the worlds many famous destinations. The users are able to view this as if they were actually at the travel destination and interact easily with it. Google's creation helps promote travel and to bring technology to a huge step of being able to travel the world through your own home computer screen.

2. The third link really spoke to me as this improvement in technology is something you would imagine in the movies where users sit on their couch and stare at a screen but actually feel and interact as if they were somewhere else. It reminded me of the Disney Pixar Wall-E where all the population was sitting in floating chairs with a screen in their face and simply doing everything on that and never having to move out of their chair.

3. I chose the video on the Northern Lights in Finland. It is amazing that Google is able to provide videos that allow you to interact as if you were actually there. It is especially amazing because Norrth Lights are something that you are only able to see during certain times and are rare to capture.
