Reconnaissance

In the movie "The Expendables," Sylvester Stallone and his crew fly a helicopter over a targeted area to map out the layout of the land. They did this to gain knowledge of how the area was arranged and to find an attack plan that would most likely work. This is a perfect example of how reconnaissance is used.
